Parametric Study and Optimization of No-Blocking Heliostat Field Layout

Generating electric power using solar thermal systems is effective, particularly for countries with high potential. In order to decide on a relevant location implement the tower plant and develop mathematical model of no-blocking heliostat field, meteorological assessment was discussed in this paper. addition, parametric study examined evaluate effect designed parameters (heliostat size, height from ground, height, receiver aperture, minimum radius) field’s performance. The preliminary field then compared final design optimal parameters. obtained results showed that “Tamanrasset City” satisfied necessary conditions implementing plant. According generation, no blocked its neighbor blocking efficiency 100%. An analysis performance revealed optimized would be capable producing 15, 6571 MW, operating at an optical 76.95%, enhancement rate both output 8.1%.
